It does not matter. It does NOT.

It may gross you out thinking about when certain people are intimate or how they are intimate, but that is none of your business. You do not have to imagine that, you do not have to experience it. It should not bother you.

Age determines nothing, really. In general it's a standard measure for maturity, but it's not always true. People are at different points in their lives at different times, people mature differently, and people fall in love in different ways. If someone is lucky enough to find that someone, that one someone that makes them feel blissfully, eternally happy? I'm glad. Go after that and relish in it.

 

Did it ever matter that Mr. Knightley was 16 years Emma's senior? No. That Mr. Rochester was 20 some years Jane Eyre's senior? No.

And who's to say that Sam and Spencer aren't equally mature and will come to certain maturity points in their lives at exactly the same time? That they don't have so many fucking similarities it's uncanny as far as family and pressure from the outside world to be perfect? If they can fit in those ways - that's what matters.

I know personally of a relationship in which he was actually older than one of her parents. They dated for several years - happily. Are they still together? No. She's re-married to the guy who fathered her second child. But in that time they were together they were happy and they worked.

I don't want anyone to tell me how to live my life, so I sure as hell won't tell other people how to live theirs.
